I received devastating news on the weekend. A childhood friend suddenly passed away. My heart is broken.
So my FF has taken a backseat since the news.

Filofax week #3
Seriously, where does the week go? My week consisted of enrolling my son into child care and orientation, doing some business admin, calling job applicants and looking after my youngest. In between I tried to fit in as much exercise as I could and catch up with a few friends. As you can see I didn't even get through my goals or things to do. Husband, works long hours and unfortunately didn't get time for our date night. Next week looks even busier!
Where did those long lazy summers go?
I got my cute sticky notes and washi tape via eBay from an overseas seller. Dirt cheap as well...I heart eBay!

Filofax Week #2
First full week back at the gym so a bit sore! I can't believe how unfit I am...oh well something to strive for.
We had a family day out and went bowling. It was my eldest son's first time. To his credit, he got through 3/4 of the game until he got bored. My son is almost three. My other son slept most of the time we were out.
There was a kid's day before the Australian Open starts next week. My sister took my eldest son to see some of the tennis greats, Dora the explorer, Diego and Guy Sebastian. I stayed home with my youngest.
We also went trout farm fishing. Our eldest's first time to fish. He enjoyed throwing the bait into the water and reeling the fish in. I spent most of the day making sure he didn't fall in the water.
So a few firsts for our kids this week.
I did a lot of work from home (WFH), nursing, excercise and chores. But my planner didn't look all that busy on paper?!

A late Christmas gift - Filofax Compact Regency
My hubby gave me the best Christmas gift everrrrr! I could choose any Filofax I wanted. It took me a while to decide, the Holborn was tempting but the Regency won me over with all the pockets and the beautiful ostrich patterned leather.
Why the compact? Well I'm using the personal Amazona as a wallet and planner and I'm finding it very bulky. I'm currently carrying a nappy bag and with the Amazona it's just too heavy and .....big.
So here are some pictures of my new Compact Regency and comparisons with the Amazon.

I won't go into the specifics as there are other bloggers who have done so - and probably much better than what I can. I will tell you however that the rings are alligned and have no gaps and the binder laid almost flat out of the box! The leather is surprisingly soft and just so plain lovely!
The Regency came with cotton cream Wo2P and other general inserts. I sold this as I am currently using Dodopad and had invested too much time into it....and I'm enjoying the different format.
I'll be using the Amazona at home as a storage binder. As I can only carry a limited amount of paper in the Regency, the Amazona would be perfect to hold used/unused pages.
I'll do a post later on my set up. Until then....

Filofax Week #1
As I mentioned in my previous post, I will be posting my Filofax week in 2013. Angela from Paper Love Story (whom I got the idea from) is doing a Filofax week collaboration within the blogger world. I can peek into everyone else's week...can't wait!
I've decided to use Dodopad this year. I love the grid design and paper quality is the best I've used. However, I'm not a big fan of some of the graphics. Anyway, I'll try and do my best to pretty-fy!
So here's my FF week one.
